Our story

Having struggled for three years with infertility, the founders found out first hand the many obstacles that often limited or prevented those struggling to conceive. Wiping their own bank account out in order to proceed with IVF, their passion for helping others on the same path magnified. They strongly believe that each and every person struggling to grow their family should be armed with a network and community in which they can find support, resources and help.

Mission & Vision

Brilora Fertility Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families on their fertility journey. Our mission is to support, educate, and foster a safe, compassionate community where no one walks this path alone. Through an ever-growing network of professionals, businesses, and partner organizations, Brilora provides vital resources, from emotional support and educational programs to financial grants, helping to break down barriers and bring the dream of parenthood within reach.

Marielle Skouras

California Peer Support Specialist

Marielle Skouras is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Perinatal Mental Health professional and trauma specialist, focusing on infertility support in her Los Angeles-based private practice.

Marielle’s passion for specializing in infertility and perinatal therapy stems from her own journey through infertility, IVF, and a challenging birth experience. As a seasoned therapist, she encountered firsthand the difficulty of finding truly specialized mental health care while seeking her own support during her IVF process. This eye-opening experience highlighted a significant gap in accessible, empathetic support for those navigating fertility challenges, inspiring Marielle to expand her practice in this direction.

Marielle believes that while professional training is essential, it’s often the lived experience that enables a therapist to connect deeply with their clients. Her personal journey equips her with a unique ability to empathize and resonate with the complex emotions her clients face, offering them compassionate and informed support.

Lesley educates medical professionals on the unique grief of infertility and perinatal loss, and is passionate about guiding families through every stage of the journey.

She’s honored to be part of the Brilora team.

Real voices. Real journeys. Real hope.

For those who are really struggling to get pregnant and have their own family’s. I just really wanted to make sure that anybody would be able to do that. That there weren’t any barriers in place.
